MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES

Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented and approved. Motion to accept by Lynn Easley, seconded by John Owens.
Financial Report:
Receipts for the year through May 9th , 2015 were $1,100.00, which constitutes current year dues from eleven members.
Disbursements for the year through May 9th 2015 were $515.73. $384.05 was for socials and $89.68 for trophies, $42.00 for the rental of the post office box.
The net of receipts over disbursements results in a year to date cash surplus of $584.27
The cash balance of $21,316.18 and includes $14,087.50 in a capital reserve.
We have eleven dues paying members in 2015.
Motion to accept treasury report by John Owens, seconded by Bob Pryor, all in favor.
Old Business
Emerald Bay Marina:
Emerald Bay Marina is still up for sale, no new news to report.
New Business
Upcoming Social Events:
The Directors scheduled a dock part at Lake Palestine Marina for around 6:00 pm on June 6th, after the sailboat race for that day. Plans were made for transporting a grill to the dock for the cookout.
For the upcoming 3rd Friday Social on June 19th the club will be providing a steak meal at Jake's in Tyler. The club will pay for the meal, excluding alcoholic drinks. Also one of the members, Ben Hooks, passed on a suggestion of providing a sailing/instructional video for some of the upcoming 3rd Friday Socials. This would take place approximately 30 minutes before the normal start of the social. Everyone thought it would be a good idea.
For the upcoming July 4th weekend, a raftup in front of Emerald Bay was proposed for the July 4th evening. John Springer said he will arrive early to hold a spot for the later arrivals. Transportation back to land will be provided for those not wishing to spend the night.
