MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Rick Walker, Steve Lowe, Warren Lyon, Bob Pryor, John Owens, and Lynn Easley.
Call to Order by Rick Walker.
Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented and approved. Motion to accept by John Owens, seconded by Steve Lowe.
Financial Report:
No change to the Financial report.
Old Business:
Emerald Bay Marina Updates
Currently at contract stage, between Emerald Bay Marina and Rick Walker's party. It is hoped to be closed by the end of August.
Contact Phone Number for LPYC
It was decided to hold off on acquiring a Magic Jack number until the marina deal is finished.
Plaque For Monty
Bob Pryor will have a plaque made to honor Monty Shanks for his help and support in the recent LPYC endeavors. If Monty is able to attend the Aug 16th Coyote Sam's get together, it is planned to present it to him there.
New Business:
Social Events
Verified up coming social events. Coyote Sam's and possible plaque presentation on August 16 at 6:30. Sailboat Races on September 7th, and 21st. A social event is planned for September 14th , and a Coyote Sam's meet up on September 20th.
Board Meeting Schedules
It was proposed to to move to an every other month meeting. Several members reminded the board that they have an obligation to meet regularly for the club. But it is possible the board may skip the August meeting due to lack of pressing events.
Member Lists
Bob Pryor will be compiling current member and director lists, along with ex-members and future prospects that may be interested in joining. Several prospective names were mentioned.
