Director and Officer Recommendations for 2026:

Director recommendations for the two open positions on the board are Steve Lowe, and John Springer.
For officers, the board recommends for Commodore, Brent Boyle. For Vice Commodore, Steve Lowe. For the position of Treasurer, John Springer, and for Secretary, Lynn Easley. Two one year advisor positions are open with Joe Greco’s term expiring.

Swap Meet with Tyler Yacht Club:

Directors agreed it would be a good idea as a possible spring time event. John Springer will propose it at the next time the Tyler Yacht Club has their meeting.

Ben Hooks’s Vision Committee:

Steve Lowe suggested that Ben Hooks could give a short presentation at the Christmas Party. It would consist of a few meetings of interested members to suggest activities or ideals the club could present to the board.

Barge and Dock Modifications:

Also discussed were adding boards to the dock on the barge side to prevent the barge from getting trapped under the docks with the strong northwest winds. Several mast raising events will be happening soon and that would also be a good time to implement adding the dock boards. Although the water levels currently on the lake make it difficult.
