Officer and Director Reports.
John Springer – Discussed the possible venues for the Annual meeting. Chances were high that the weather would be too cold in January for an out of town meeting on Paul Lohr’s paddle boat. The club was already on the schedule for the room at Emerald Bay, so will be going with that for the location. Did discuss checking with Paul Lohr to see if he would be interested in doing a presentation on his paddle boat operation.
Rich Munson – Discussed details of the Christmas party menu and expenses, more details in the new business section.
Rick Walker – Will contact Paul Lohr to see if he is interested in doing a presentation at either the Christmas Party or Annual Meeting.

Mast Hoist at Marina :
Members of the club or the marina staff have been unable to break lose the mast crane from its swiveled in position. Ben Hooks will check with Brad Root to see who built the mast, to see if they have any recommendations on how to free it up. Some possible solutions to try are heating the outside sleeve to help break it loose. A welder with a torch or Rick has a propane weed burner torch that may work. Another possibility would be to rotate the entire mast base plate. The plate curves over the dock edge, so it would have to be cut off, in addition new bolt holes would probably have to be drilled. Even a 45 degree rotation would extend the crane out far enough for most of the boats at the marina.
Christmas Party and Menu:
Rich Munson quoted prices for the meals at Eagle’s Bluff. The buffet would require at least 20 members to be there as the minimum charge is for 20 persons. The club would probably be better off with the individual plates that run $24 to $27 per person plus extra for drinks and desserts. They offer various plates of chicken, pork and seafood. The club will offer three choices of plate meals in the email to be sent out. Ben Hooks offered the use of his place for a future event, and the price for catering food there would be around half the cost.
Officers and Directors for 2020:
The directors decided to leave the positions of Commodore and Social Director open for now. It was agreed to reduce the effort for the social events for the 3rd Fridays to have them at the same location every 3rd Friday. Favored location was the Coyote Sam’s/Texas Music house for now.
Upcoming Social Events:
The Steve Herber Turkey Fun Race will be held Saturday, November 16th starting at Noon, two to three boats have committed already. It is also planned for the Commodore to cook up hot dogs around 3:00 pm at the marina.
Christmas party is scheduled for December 7th at Eagle’s Bluff.
Annual Meeting is scheduled for January 18th at Emerald Bay.
Date and Time of Next Meeting:
The next meeting is scheduled for December 11th at Coyote Sam’s / Texas Music House at 12:00 noon.
