MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: Chuck Brazell, Steve Lowe, Rich Munson, and Lynn Easley.
Call to order by Chuck Brazell.
Present Minutes from last meeting
The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.
Motion to accept by Steve Lowe, seconded by Chuck Brazell.
Financial Report
The financial report was presented by Chuck Brazell.
General Comments:
No change to the previous financial report. No new deposits or checks were written last month.
Treasury report was accepted by acclamation.
Reports from Committees and Directors:
Chuck Brazell – Suggested a training session, towards the end of September before the October Regatta, and checking with some of the sail makers in Dallas area to see if they would be interested in making a presentation for the training session. Also a “Save the Date” email needs to be sent out reminding everyone of the upcoming event, and any other ways to possibly publicize it. Clarified that the Oktoberfest Regatta and dock party would be combined on the same weekend event and that there would be no Third Friday that month.
Rich Munson – Third Friday event will be held at the Texas 1836 Kitchen on Friday August 17th starting at the usual 6:00 pm time. There is also a social Pirates Club, as it relates to Jimmy Buffet that has a growing membership including 1 or two of LPYC club members. A joint social engagement between the two clubs would a worthwhile event. Also need to order T-Shirts for the upcoming Regatta.
Steve Lowe – Questioned who has the hats and bur-gees, as a new member still needs a bur-gee. It was Thought that John Springer had them, but they might have been put in the storage locker before he left. Rich Munson would be going by the Marina and would check. With the recent death of recent member of the club, a clarification on what the club should do about flowers or cards. It was decided to go on a case by case basis. Although in this case, the club didn’t have the primary address of the member as the lake was their second home.
Lynn Easley – One new inquiry from the website that seems interested in joining. Also concerned about keeping less active members involved with the club.

No changes to the slip waiting list.
New Business
The next meeting will be held at F.D.’s Grill at noon, on Wednesday, September 12th..
