MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES
Present at meeting: John Springer, Rick Walker, Ben Hooks, and Lynn Easley.

The minutes were presented by Lynn Easley.

Financial Report
The financial report was presented by John Springer.
Receipts:
Receipts for 2018 through April 11th were $2,146.00, which consists of current dues from twenty-one members and $21.00 for sales of club merchandise.
Disbursements:
Disbursements for 2018 through April 11th were $1,418.22 for operations and $23.38 for capital items, resulting in total disbursements of $1,441.60. Disbursements for operations are as follows:
1. $490.00 Socials (Annual Membership Meeting.
2. $417.04 Storage Locker.
3. $326.21 Bur-gees (6) and hats (6)
4. $100.00 Slip Rental for Barge.
5. $60.00 P.O. Box Rent.
6. $24.97 Supplies (Name Tags).
Surplus:
For operations, receipts exceeded disbursements resulting in an operating surplus of $727.78.
General Comments:
The cash balance as of April 11th, 2018 is $15,616,84. The cash balance one year ago was $16,567.12.
We have twenty-one dues paying members in 2018.
Treasury report was accepted by Ben Hooks, seconded by Lynn Easley.
Reports from Committees and Directors:
Rick Walker asked what would happen if a member left the club to their dues, if there would be any partial refund made to the member. More discussion would be needed when all of the directors were present to decide policy for any such event.
Old Business
Slip Waiting List:
When there is a slip available, the club will notify the next in line on the list that the club has slip available.
Regatta Assignments:
Ben Hooks, Dana Adams, John Springer, Chuck Brazell, and Rich Munson have volunteered to serve on the regatta committee. Still needing someone for the skipper meetings, and to run the committee boat, and set the courses. John Sprinter will check with Tyler Yacht Club to see if anyone might be interested in helping. It has been suggested that L.P.Y.C. could assist with T.Y.C. regatta events in the future, and reciprocating with L.P.Y.C. regatta events.
Website Logon and Membership Information:
Lynn Easley has setup default user-id's and passwords members interested in the L.P.Y.C. roster on the website. The roster currently contains a list of members and their email addresses visible only to registered users. After logging in, the Members area will be visible in the top menu bar. It is recommended to change the default password after logging in, and the user has the option of changing their user name as well.
Cost of Bur-gees and Hats:
Bur-gees cost $26.23 each, and hats cost $28.15 each. With the price of bur-0gees and hats, it was suggested to only give the bur-gee to new members, and sell the hats separately for $30.00 each. Replacement bur-gees would sell for $30.00 also. T-shirts for the upcoming regatta will be priced at $15 each. Rick Walker motioned to accept the proposed prices and only a bur-gee for new members, and Ben Hooks seconded the motion.
New Business
Memorial Service for Bob Pryor:
A celebration of life event will be held at the Purple Pig on Friday, April 20th at 6:00 PM in memory of Bob Pryor.
Next Director Meeting:
The next meeting will be held at Clear Springs Restaurant at noon, on Wednesday, May 9th.
