The Lake Palestine Yacht Club held their 2018th annual meeting at Emerald Bay Community Center. The twenty-six members in attendance were treated to a Mexican Buffet before the meeting started.
Ben Hooks called the meeting to order, and the minutes from the previous annual meeting were presented by the club's secretary, along with the Treasury's report. Ben then acknowledged the contributions of many members to the club's activities.

Members of the club then voted by acclamation to accept the directors and officers for the 2018 year. John Springer will serve as Commodore, Chuck Brazell will serve as Vice Commodore, John Springer will also continue handling the role of Treasury, and Lynn Easley will serve as Secretary.


Ben Hooks then turned the meeting over to John Springer. John Springer then presented Ben Hooks with framed LPYC Bur-gee for his service to the club as Commodore.  

Then John introduced the newest members joining in 2018, and presented the awards to the winners of the Saturday series, and Regatta. The winner of the Saturday series was Bob Coker. And the winners of the Regatta was Ben Hooks took First Place, Second Place went to Chuck Brazell, and Bob Coker took Third Place.

John Springer then reviewed the events for the upcoming 2018 year and after a few other items the meeting was adjourned.
